A hundred years ago, across the world, the majority of women were highly disenfranchised. Largely secondary citizens, most were tellingly defi ned by marriages and the families they raised. Few worked in paid jobs or were economically independent. Since then, and particularly over the last 30-50 years, there has been a dramatic revolution in the circumstances of women with increasing emancipation and economic empowerment. Within the workplace the changes have been vast with more women at work; in non-traditional jobs once the reserve of men and with female leaders rising steadily through the ranks.

In our issue on Branding- Issue #16, we presented an image of Adolf Hitler alongside other current and historical individuals. This was an error on our part. By placing him alongside positive change makers we were seen to have condoned his many dastardly acts. This was not our intention. We apologize profusely for this lapse in judgement.
